Emma Stone Engaged to Dave McCary

Their Relationship

According to Cosmopolitan, Emma and Dave left together after the premiere of Dave's film Brigsby Bear in June 2017, although they remained fairly hands off. The next media sighting took place more than a year later, in December 2018. At that time, Emma hosted a roller-skating party during which she and Dave sang and danced together. They slow danced, held hands, and appeared very much together, according to an insider. (source) Throughout the following month, Dave accompanied Emma to the Golden Globes after party, an LA Clippers game, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Then, in February, they sat beside each other during the Oscars, although Emma walked the red carpet solo. This past summer, the couple enjoyed a romantic getaway to Santa Monica. And then, BOOM, Dave shared their engagement announcement on Instagram on December 4, 2019.

Dave and Emma enjoy the company of great friends and colleagues. People reported that one insider believes they prove a great match: "Dave has this core of kindness and sweetness," they said. What Emma Stone Says About Marriage

In the interview, Emma Stone discussed friendship, loyalty, and turning 30 with her good friend Jennifer Lawrence. They started out discussing the impact of choosing good friends. "You realize that your friendships, the people who go with you into these next phases of your life - you're choosing your family," Emma said. (source) She stated how important laughter and loyalty remain to her as she enters her third decade. Then, she said, "As a teenager, I was like, I'm never getting married, I'm never having kids. And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids."
