When women find themselves up against the wall, facing the end of themselves, they inevitably dig deeper into their intuition and creative powers to find meaning and make sense of their own complexities. With DRU Jewelry, Thea Miller empowers every woman through this process.

From the Ashes

Rather than running from the shadows, Thea Miller embraces the dance between light and dark. After all, it is the shading of life's complexities that add the depth and beauty. Birthed from the fire of struggle, DRU Jewelry emerged from the ashes, a beautiful and inspiring phoenix. During a time of transition, Thea Miller tackled the business of jewelry. She went from dabbling in jewelry design to the steep learning curve of entrepreneurship. "I made a lot of mistakes, but after getting to know many other designers, I learned it is part of the process. It has been deeply humbling and incredibly challenging at times..." (source) Known for its edgy authenticity, DRU Jewelry climbs into the fire with the women of the world, offering raw truth and subtle humor, as well as solace, hope, and empowerment. Thea describes her jewelry as armor, meant to remind the wearer that she is one among many warriors of light. As warriors of light, women must stand together in strength and dignity, while at the same time maintaining the individuality of their tender femininity. It is this unique combination of vulnerability and strength that allows women to find light in the darkest times. And so we burn, and so we are consumed, and so we rise!

DRU Jewelry Embodies Feminine Strength

Born out of the fire of struggle - both internal and external - Thea's jewelry naturally embodies the strength of the feminine. Using iconic symbols, paired sometimes with powerful word mantras, Thea's signet rings, pendants, dog tags, and charms empower and embolden the women who wear them. Each design contains layers of meaning. Take for example the St. Benedict signet ring, featured in the photo above. Considered by Catholics a spiritual weapon, the St. Benedict medallion serves to ward off evil. Thea's interpretation of the medallion features front and center a cross with the initials of the Latin prayer: May the dragon never be my guide. Around the outside are the initial letters of a second prayer: Begone Satan! Never tempt me with your vanities! What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself! Across the top, the Latin word for peace resonates in three powerful letters - PAX. As the motto of St. Benedict and his followers, PAX declares the essence of protection in every storm. Fashioned to make a statement, the St. Benedict signet ring proves a heavy piece designed to be worn comfortably. Thea specially designed the shank to wrap snugly around the finger so the medallion lays flat against the finger. As such, it is comfortable enough for everyday wear. Thea considers this ring among her favorites. Though large, the ring is versatile and comfortable to wear. Its large size means it gets noticed, and "it captures fun, fine, and meaning all in one ring," she told me. Thea cast the top from an antique St. Benedict signet. Drawing inspiration from vintage costume jewelry made by Versace, Thea designed the ring specifically for its grand boldness. This singular signet cannot be ignored!
