Travis Atreo topped an already glorious day with an uber romantic proposal this past June. Ally gave the scoop to E!Online.

Travis Atreo Proposes

The biggest day of Ally Maki's life ended with a huge surprise. It started with the premiere of Toy Story 4, in which Ally plays the tiny, feisty, and fearless toy, Giggle McDimples. Following the premiere, she and Atreo, plus her team and her family, attended the carnival after party. Nearing the end of the night, walking barefoot, she decided to return to the Roosevelt Hotel in order to change her shoes. Already the concierge at the Roosevelt had lavished her with a fruit basket and other small touches. So when she opened the door to their room to find rose petals scattered across the floor, she thought very highly of the Roosevelt. However, as she walked further into the room, Travis succumbed to emotion. As his tears flowed and she noticed someone filming them in the corner, Ally caught on that Travis had something in store for her. At first, she freaked out. "NO! What's up?" she cried. Then, it sunk in, and she surrendered to happy tears. She described Travis's proposal speech as "straight for the heart," saying it was intimate and yet jazzed up by the whole Pixar/Toy Story vibe. (source) For the whole next day, the couple kept their news private. Letting it sink in, they discussed it, cried together, and then realized that now they have to plan a wedding. Ally Maki told E! she hopes to plan an intimate ceremony that is "vibey and small and fun."

Seattle Beginnings

Surprisingly enough, both Ally Maki and Travis Atreo grew up in the Seattle area. Ally was born and raised in Kirkland. Meanwhile, Travis grew up in Seattle. Evidently, they did not cross paths until they met in Los Angeles. Ally and Travis have dated for the past 6-1/2 years. They love singing together, seeing the sites, and spending time celebrating each others' successes.

The Ring

Ally Maki showed her ring off at the beginning of her interview with E! She also shared a photo on Instagram. At a glance, it appears to feature a princess cut diamond surrounded by a square halo of diamonds. The dainty band is paved in diamonds, as well. According to People, Caryn Alpert, of the Beverly Hills boutique XIV Karats, designed the ring. The Beverly Hills jewelry store has been in the news more than once for creating celeb engagement rings. Caryn also designed Avril Lavigne's engagement ring, as well as outfitting the Kardashians, Gwen Stefani, Hillary Duff, Lindsey Lohan, and more with whatever jewels catch their eyes.

Who is Ally Maki?

Ally Maki is truly a rising star in Hollywood. Although she grew up in Kirkland, she caught the eye of a talent scout, who encouraged her to take a leap of faith. With the support of her family, she moved to Los Angeles when she was 14 years old. Throughout high school, she lived in a house with a group of other young actors. Right from the start, she landed a record deal with Columbia/Sony Records as keyboardist and singer for the all-girl band Valli Girls. She started landing roles on TV shows as early as 2002, with cameo appearances on My Wife and KidsERThat's So Raven, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Then in 2009, she played the recurring role of Dawn in the TV show 10 Things I Hate About You. Perhaps her most memorable (and most recent) role came in 2016, when she took the part of Jess in Wrecked, clearly a comedic spoof on Lost, with nods to The Hunger Games.

Who is Travis Atreo?

Travis Atreo was born in the Philippines, though as I mentioned before he grew up in Seattle. He started singing at church in his teens. In an interview, he explained that everyone in his church sang or played an instrument. This gave him a great foundation in music. (source) At age 18, he started the band New Heights. With New Heights, Travis caught the music bug. Not only did they play festivals and tour, they also succeeded in releasing three EPs, as well as a full-length album a with major producer. In 2014, he moved to LA, where he started his own YouTube channel. By day, he pursued a career in music production. By night, he recorded himself performing covers of his favorite songs, uploading them to his video channel. After covering Taylor Swift's song Style, he caught the attention of the songstress. After she commented on his video, his channel went viral. From there, he decided to produce his own singles and albums. In addition to his passion for music and performing, Travis also loves cooking, cars, technology, video production, mens fashion, and more.
