3 Upcycled Jewelry Storage Tutorials   Does your jewelry storage need an overhaul? I thought so. I found three beautiful upcycled jewelry storage tutorials to share with you today. So grab a shoe box, a vintage book, or a dusty cutlery tray, and let’s get started.

Shoebox Upcycled Jewelry Storage

This tutorial comes from Nash over at Craft-a-Doodle-Doo. All you need is a shoebox, toilet paper and paper towel tubes, pretty paper (or fabric), double-sided tape, and some velcro. A pair of scissors probably won’t hurt, either. Then it’s cut and wrap, cut and wrap, cut and wrap. Decorate the box, then decorate the tubes in beautiful complementary papers. You can even decorate a piece of chipboard to create a beautiful lid. A great idea to keep out the dust and reduce humidity. Slide your wrist watches and bracelets on the tubes, and call it beautiful! You can even mix and match tutorials and add a section of accordioned fabric to create a place to store your rings.

Vintage Book Upcycled Jewelry Box

Carrie over at Kenarry offers this fun tutorial. Start with a vintage book, and follow her detailed tutorial to hollow out a niche in the center of the book. She provides written instructions, as well as a video to ensure your success. Once you get the nitty gritty out of the way, you get to decorate your new box to suit your style. She provides instructions for decoupage, which is a fun craft in and of itself. Finally, add the wooden beads to the bottom if you want a little claw-foot-style elegance. I also like the idea of adding a fifth bead to the lid to use as a handle.

Upcycled Cutlery Tray

Christina at The DIY Mommy offers a great tutorial for transforming a cutlery tray into a vertical jewelry storage unit. She recommends getting creative with your foundation. She chose to hand paint the tray, but she offers ideas like fabric, decoupage, or stenciling. The only other supplies you need are some beautiful decorative knobs and some mug hooks. Knobs on the inside and hooks on the bottom offer many options for hanging necklaces, bracelets, rings, and wrist watches. You can also use the ledges at the bottom for brooches. You could even secure some mesh to one section to hang earrings if you need more earring storage space. This easy-breezy idea offers wonderful creative upcycled jewelry storage potential. I think it’s my favorite one. Which of these ideas will you be trying out? Please let us know here or on Facebook, and share your before-and-after images, too! ~Angela Magnotti Andrews
