Payments

We accept the following payment methods through our secure check-out system:

Credit Cards: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. All credit card transactions are subject to address verification. Our merchant system is secure and requires that we verify the registered billing address with the issuing bank prior to shipment of your order.

Domestic

We ship all orders securely via Priority Overnight with a signature required. We fully insure every shipment for the full purchase price.

International

We ship all international orders via FedEx International free of charge. IMPORTANT: Many countries charge an import duty or customs fees. Any duties imposed by countries for importing our items are the buyers responsibility.

Tracking you order

Once your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation that provides a tracking number. This permits you to track your package online.

Insurance Restrictions

No address or delivery date changes are possible once an item is shipped, even in the case of a shipping delay. For this reason, please provide any special delivery instructions at the time the order is placed or immediately afterward. Once tracking information has been emailed, the item has already been shipped and no changes are possible. Please consider having the shipment held at a pickup location nearest the delivery address where it can be collected at your convenience. We’re happy to select one for you if you request this in the notes field during checkout.

Christmas/Holiday Delivery Considerations

We encourage customers wanting items delivered in time for Christmas to place their orders as early as possible. During the busy holiday season there are often weather and volume delays with carriers. The shipping dates we communicate assume no carrier delays which is not always a safe assumption during December.

Resizing a ring normally takes 1-2 additional business days prior to shipping. During December this can extend to 3-4 business days. For this reason, please consider having your ring purchases resized after Christmas. We are happy to ship rings with a size measuring kit in the package and cover the cost of return shipping to get the ring back here after Christmas for complimentary resizing.

 

 

Returns

We continuously strive to offer our customers the highest quality jewelry and customer service. We stand behind the authenticity and quality of each item we sell; however, if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you may return it within 60 days for a full refund of the purchase price. To accommodate holiday gift shopping, items purchased in October or November may be returned through January 31 of the following year.

1. Returns must be sent back to us within 60 days from the date you received them.
2. We appreciate original invoices and any paperwork be included with the return.
3. Merchandise needs to be unused (gentle wear is ok) and in the same condition as it was received. Rings resized (or items altered) by EraGem are still fully eligible for full refunds. Jewelry that has been altered by an outside goldsmith or damaged may not be accepted.
4. You will be issued a 100% refund of the purchase price credited back to the original payment method within 24 hours of receipt of the return. Certain payment methods may take 3-7 business days to fully process back to your account after the refund has been initiated.
5. International Returns: Refunds will be 100% of the purchase price only. Any customs or import duties, brokerage fees, or taxes paid on shipments and the cost to send back the return would be the puchasers responsibility. Refunds on taxes and duties on returns may be available from your country's customs department. Insurance is recommended as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit for returns sent from outside the USA. On export forms please clearly state that it is a return to reduce the chances of items being held up in customs.

Please note: Complimentary returns are expensive for our company but we feel it is important to offer our customers the opportunity to try our pieces risk free.

If a customer has purchased and returned a significant number of items, for whatever reason, we may institute a customer specific restocking fee. We will inform customers of this prior to shipping out any future orders so it will not be a surprise. We may also inform customers that we can no longer do business with them and cancel future orders.

Abuse of our return policy to “borrow” jewelry hurts our family business and may result in EraGem refusing to continue to do business with customers we feel are abusing this policy.

Instructions

To initiate a return, simply email us at contact@eragem.com to request an insured prepaid label. Whenever possible, we recommend sending the jewelry back in our original packaging as it is designed to protect the jewelry in transit and be discreet.

Upgrade & Jewelry Buyback

Please note: It is EraGem’s intention to offer these programs indefinitely; however, we reserve the right to amend or discontinue this offer for any reason, as a whole, or on a case by case basis.

EraGem will offer a 100% purchase price trade up credit (less any sales tax paid) for a diamond engagement ring (natural or lab created purchased from EraGem) toward another diamond ring (or any item of jewelry) of equal or greater value (with the difference being paid at the time of exchange).

EraGem offers a buyback policy for items outside our 60 day full money back guarantee. EraGem will offer 65% of the original purchase price for natural and lab diamond engagement rings and 60% of the purchase price for all other jewelry (less any sales tax paid).

Warranty

A piece of fine jewelry should last a lifetime but it may require some service along the way. We understand that vintage and antique items have unique qualities as well that may differ from newly manufactured jewelry. EraGem offers a lifetime warranty on every piece of jewelry we sell.

NOTE: Our service warranty does NOT cover damage to the center stone(chips or breakage), either accidental or from normal wear by its new recipient. Our service warranty does NOT cover loss or theft of primary/center stone, diamond or colored gemstone. All expensive jewelry should be insured for this type of incident.

Any issues present with an item upon receipt of and for up to one year after will be covered free of charge and a return shipping label will be provided to get the piece back to us for alteration/repair. Many of the items EraGem sells are vintage and may not have been worn for many years so issues like loose stones or snaggy prongs are present they often aren't detectable until an item is worn around a bit. We do our best to address and restore items fully prior to shipping.

The most common issues with vintage jewelry (and all jewelry) is loss of smaller accent stones or bending shanks or issues around where previous resizing has offered.

Issues may occur after the first year of ownership as well and we hope you allow us to service your item for as long as you own it. We offer complimentary cleaning and stone tightening for the life of the ring that includes re-tipping prongs when necessary. In the case of normal daily wear these services will all be covered free of charge. We only ask that you cover the cost to safely ship the items back to us for service after the first year which is normally $10-$20 through insured priority mail.

We also understand that even through normal daily wear that accidental damage may occur to an item. If damage occurs at any time we will always offer to repair your item, only charging you our cost for any repairs, and in this circumstance, we also ask that you cover the cost to ship it back to us for the repair.

EraGem highly recommends having your jewelry insured personally as well for issues like loss and theft. Please let us know if you would like a recommendation for a great personal jewelry insurance policy.

Again, please note that our service warranty does NOT cover damage, wear, chipping, or loss/theft of primary/center stone, diamond or colored gemstone.
