Mesmerizing Love: Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon

by Angela Magnotti Andrews After nearly 26 years of marriage, this beautiful woman, actress Kyra Sedgwick, is still the apple of her husband's eye. Kevin Bacon first met his wife on the set of Lemon Sky. Kevin starred in the lead, and on their first meeting, Kyra told CNN's Piers Morgan that he came off as cocky and cool. He was stepping on a bus with his dog, wearing a Hudson Bay wool coat, and the actress did not consider him an option for her. Though Kevin describes her as aloof, he did not let that stop him from pursuing her. After countless attempts to coax her out to dinner with the cast and crew, he finally talked her into making an appointment with a massage therapist who practiced in the spa at his hotel. She was surprised to find him stepping off the Stairmaster just as she was walking out from her appointment. Apparently, the relaxing effect of the massage lowered her defenses. She said yes to dinner, only to find out far later that the whole thing was staged after Kevin called the indiscreet massage office to find out when she'd be done with her appointment. Despite the creep factor, Kevin Bacon scored big time on that bold move. "We are kind of meant to be together," Kevin told Larry King. "We're lucky," Kyra told Mr. Morgan, "and we have the same priorities." Perhaps I'm lucky, too, because I stumbled upon WhoSay.com today, and I sat mesmerized by image after image of a real-life super husband. Kevin Bacon clearly adores his wife. Not only is that evident in every glamour photo of their red carpet appearances, but his love oozes off the pages of his WhoSay account. Photo after photo of Kyra hiking, Kyra snuggling a baby, Kyra sitting on a bench, Kyra playing a ukulele. If it wasn't so authentic, it would be nauseating. Instead, it's just mesmerizing. It's a good thing she adores him right back. Rumor has it that he's not that great when it comes to buying jewelry. He proposed by hiding an engagement ring in the toe of her stocking {5}, but three months later, sources claim, he woke up in the middle of the night to find her crying hysterically. She confessed that she didn't like the ring. They went together to choose its replacement. Apparently, the same thing happened when he purchased her a diamond-studded anniversary gift last year in commemoration of their 25th year of marriage. He wisely kept the receipt, and Kyra returned that gift along with another one, bringing home one mega-jewel {6}. Obviously his mishaps at the jewelry store are not a make-it-or-break it issue for the charismatic actress. What's his secret? " always makes me feel like I'm the most beautiful woman in the room--the only girl in the room," the star says {2}.
