Emmy Rossum shines in gold and dangling earrings at Critics’ Choice Awards

Emmy Rossum shines in gold and dangling earrings at Critics' Choice AwardsEmmy Rossum began her career in childhood, but wowed critics and audiences alike in the pivotal role of Christine in Joel Schumacher's big-budget adaptation of the Broadway musical, Phantom of the Opera. This box-office hit – which also starred the soon-to-be-famous Gerard Butler alongside a bevy of talented actors and singers – launched Rossum's career, which has continued through a variety of roles, particularly as a star member of the ensemble on the Showtime series Shameless.

It's no surprise that Rossum turned up at the 2012 Critics' Choice Television Awards at the Beverly Hills Hilton. Flanked by the biggest and brightest on TV, Rossum held her own in a gorgeous gold gown that shimmered along the red carpet and long afterward. She paired this eye-catching dress with a pair of matching pendant earrings. While Rossum might not have taken home the award – she was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series – she certainly won plenty of accolades for her wardrobe.

Earrings like Rossum's are the perfect complement to any dress style, gown, pantsuit or casual skirt and blouse combo. If you're looking for a similar style, check out antique jewelry. Everything from brooches to sapphire rings can liven up your wardrobe.
